Black Joy Manifesto

We believe that Black music is a sacred space of Black Joy.

We believe in Black Joy as resistance to oppression of all types as well as a survival strategy for the vicissitudes in our individual lives.

We aim to uphold Black Joy through creatively advocating for people, places, and organizations that support the performance and preservation of Black music.

We aim to uphold Black Joy through creative activism that creates spaces in where Black music is heard, discussed, and danced.

We are not the proprietors of Black Joy, but instead work in community with those who understand that Black Joy is a transformational force.

We currently offer the following Black Joy experiences:

Jooksi Walking Tours put Black Joy on the map.

Jooksi Radio is the sound of Black Joy.
